Brian Carter Cellars

Columbia Winemaking Facility

In 2008 Columbia winery moved all of their production from Woodinville to their winery in Sunnyside. As a result they had a lot of space available and turned most of it into a case goods warehouse. Fortunately they had about a quarter of the space on the west side of the building that they realized might have a better use and offered it exclusively to Brian Carter Cellars. After having made wine in the warehouse district in northern Woodinville for two years, schlepping barrels from Efeste’ to another warehouse and back then schlepping the case goods to a third location we jumped at the chance to consolidate all our production and case goods into one location. This new space had the added benefit of being much closer to the tasting room minimizing the time Mike was spending restocking the tasting room. Now everyone including Mike is happy, Brian has more space and better drains and of course Robert Takahashi a former Columbia Winemaker is right at home in his old winery space. Just so there is no confusion, we have not merged with our good friends at Columbia winery in any way other than leasing their space, in fact Brian Carter Cellars has its own federally approved bonded winery right inside the Columbia warehouse.
